?Mudflap Girl? Was My Mum
If you’ve driven anywhere in 30-odd years, you’ve likely seen the chromed silhouette of a large-bosomed reclining woman affixed to the mudflaps of big rigs. She’s known as Mudflap Girl, but Ed Allen has another name for her: mum. (more…)

iZettle's chip-reading Square competitor will take your money, no swipes required (video)
Everyone seems to be getting on board with Square's iPhone credit card reader -- Apple started selling the device in its stores last week, and even Visa has taken a financial interest in the company. However, due to the popularity of fraud-fighting chip-enabled smart cards on the other side of the pond, Square's offering doesn't quite fit the bill. iZettle has a similar solution for Europe that includes the ever-so-necessary smart card reader, which the company is launching in Sweden this June. Not only does it enable you to accept credit card payments from friends or customers, the app adds a social twist. Merchants can email a photograph and receipt to buyers, who can then share their latest spoils on Facebook. Of course, if this starts to catch on, it could make explaining that "awesome deal" you scored on a new laptop that much more difficult when it pops up on your significant other's news feed.
[Thanks, David]

Nokia?s Booklet 3G a ?mini laptop?
The King in mobile manufacturers, Nokia, rocked the world this morning by introducing its spin on the laptop, called the Booklet 3G. Nokia has announced today its debut in the world of computer systems. According to the announcement, the company plans to roll out its first Windows-based portable computer system, the Nokia Booklet 3G.
The notebook comprises with an Atom processor and 10.1-inch display, but that screen is higher res than your average Eee, and it also sports integrated 3G wireless and a hot-swappable SIM card, still following it?s own niche. It looks to be running Windows 7, which isn't particularly netbooky, and also has integrated A-GPS with a copy of Ovi Maps, HDMI output, a rated 12 hour battery life, and the usual Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, all in a 2cm (.78 inch), 2.7lb aluminum body that's understated, sophisticated, and should make most Nokia fans very happy -- Nokia fans who are looking for a tiny laptop, anyway.
Well I?m not sure that whether this introductory notebook could beat Sony Vaio Mini.

Meet Power Matt, Powermat's new pun-based superhero ready to answer your tech questions
The biggest problem with modern society? A lack of good super villains. Seriously, today's superheroes are getting flabby from sitting around, twiddling their powerful thumbs. Look at poor Power Matt here -- dude's clearly been working out and doing his shopping at the Justice League department store. So what is he doing with his time? Foiling bank heists or intercepting speeding missiles? Nope. He's Powermat's new mascot, and he's fielding questions about the inductive charging pad on the company's Twitter account. Can someone please help the poor redheaded hero out and kidnap a world leader or something? Or at least steal their microUSB cable?
